Overview
The 18mm PP Hollow Plastic Formwork Panel is a high-performance, eco-friendly construction material designed to replace traditional wood, bamboo and steel formworks. Made of modified high-purity polypropylene (PP) via integrated extrusion and hollow molding technology, it features a lightweight hollow rib structure with high rigidity and impact resistance. It effectively solves common defects of traditional formworks such as water absorption, deformation, short service life and high construction costs, ideal for efficient, standardized and green concrete construction.
Core Product Advantages
1. Super High Reusability & Cost-Effective
Featuring modified PP molecular structure and reinforced hollow ribs, this formwork delivers excellent durability and fatigue resistance. It supports 60–100 repeated uses, 10 times longer than traditional wooden plywood. Though the initial purchase cost is slightly higher, its ultra-high turnover rate greatly cuts overall expenses on material replacement and waste disposal, bringing prominent long-term cost savings for projects.
2. Lightweight & Easy Construction
The hollow structure greatly reduces panel weight compared with steel and solid wood formworks. It allows easy manual handling, cutting, nailing and on-site assembly without heavy equipment. Flexible secondary processing adapts to various complex construction shapes, effectively boosting construction efficiency, shortening project cycles and lowering labor costs.
3. Excellent Physical & Chemical Resistance
This PP formwork is fully waterproof, non-expansive and deformation-free. It does not bond with cement, requiring no release agent for concrete pouring. It delivers a smooth, bubble-free concrete finish and minimizes subsequent polishing and repair work. With outstanding acid, alkali, corrosion and extreme temperature resistance (-20°C to 90°C), it stays stable without warping, cracking or aging in harsh outdoor construction environments.
4. Green & Eco-Friendly, Recyclable
Different from disposable wooden formworks that waste forest resources and produce massive construction waste, this PP panel is 100% recyclable. End-of-life panels can be reprocessed and remolded, realizing circular resource utilization. It generates no construction waste during use, complies with global green building standards, and helps contractors reduce carbon emissions for sustainable construction.
5. Stable Structure & High Bearing Capacity
Built with a 18mm thick body and optimized hollow rib reinforcement, the panel offers high structural stiffness and load capacity. It resists concrete lateral pressure and vibration, effectively preventing bulging, deformation and slurry leakage. The ultra-smooth surface creates high-quality fair-faced concrete, eliminating the need for secondary plastering.

Product Advantages Over Traditional Formworks
Compared with traditional formworks, 18mm PP hollow panels outperform wood formwork in reuse times, waterproof performance and environmental friendliness; they are lighter, more cost-effective and more processable than steel formwork; and feature higher toughness and temperature resistance than ordinary PVC formwork. It is an all-around upgraded formwork solution integrating economy, durability and environmental protection.
Precautions for Use
Proper operation and maintenance are essential to maximize the panel’s service life and construction performance. Please follow the guidelines below:
1. On-Site Operation Precautions
Use fine-tooth saws and professional drill bits for cutting and drilling to avoid edge cracks and burrs. Clean surface debris after processing to ensure tight splicing and prevent slurry leakage. Avoid excessive force or violent knocking during fixation to protect internal hollow ribs. Pour concrete evenly and avoid long-term concentrated vibration on single areas to prevent panel bulging and deformation.
2. Demolding Precautions
Do not demold forcibly before concrete reaches standard curing strength to avoid surface damage and panel deformation. Use professional tools for auxiliary separation; prohibit violent prying, dragging or dropping panels. Clean cement residue with water or soft tools after use. Do not scrape the panel surface with sharp objects to preserve the smooth finish for repeated use.
3. Storage & Transportation Precautions
Store panels in flat, dry, ventilated and shaded areas. Avoid long-term direct sunlight, rain soaking and high-temperature exposure to prevent material aging and performance degradation. Stack neatly with reasonable height limits to avoid compression deformation. Use protective cushions and firm fixation during transportation to prevent collision, friction and bending damage.
4. Daily Maintenance & Reuse Notes
Inspect panels after each use; repair minor scratches and edge damage timely. Sort out severely damaged panels to avoid affecting construction accuracy. Keep away from extreme high-temperature fire environments and strong chemical corrosion to extend overall service life and reuse cycles.
